Jesse Plemons, who plays Landry Clark on TV's "Friday Night Lights," has bought a house in the modern Agave development east of Interstate 35, according to Travis Central Appraisal District records.
Plemons, a 20-year-old Dallas native, can be seen walking his dogs around the neighborhood on weekends, according to various people who live in the area. But he has been busy lately, so Austin is just his home base.
In addition to his work on "Friday Night Lights," Plemons has been working on three movies: "Observe and Report," "Happiness Runs" and "Shrink."
In "Observe and Report," Plemons co-stars with Seth Rogen, who plays a mall security guard who's trying to catch a flasher. Jody Hill directs, with Anna Faris, Ray Liotta and Michael Pe?a in other roles. It's in post-production and is scheduled to be released in 2009.
Details about "Happiness Runs" are sketchy, but Plemons co-stars with Hanna Hall, Shiloh Fernandez and Rich Sickler. Adam Sherman ("Dead Doll") directs.
In "Shrink," Plemons plays opposite Kevin Spacey, Dallas Roberts, Robin Williams, Saffron Burrows, Robert Loggia and Griffin Dunne. Scheduled for release next year, the movie focuses on a well-known Los Angeles psychiatrist who becomes a pothead after a personal tragedy.
The Agave development is north of FM 969 and about a mile east of U.S. 183. More than a half-dozen architectural firms are designing the homes. Designers include Emily Little Architects, KRDB, FAB Architecture, Lawrence Group Architects, CasaBella Architects, Studio Momentum Architects and Kevin Stewart.
